Privacy at a glance
Privacy
Tokaboo is made for young children, so we keep as little as we can and keep the rest safe. Here's what that means in practice.
Your child's voice stays on the phone
Tokaboo listens on the device to check each word. It holds the sound for a moment, then lets it go. Nothing is recorded, uploaded or shared.
The learning picture stays on the phone too
How your child is getting on with each word and sound stays on your device. With an account, our servers keep only your email, each child's first name or nickname, the month and year they were born, and simple progress such as lessons finished.
No ads, no tracking
There are no ads in Tokaboo, no tracking and no third-party analytics, and we never sell or share your family's data.
Parents are in control
A grown-up sets Tokaboo up. In Settings you can download a copy of your family's data, or delete a child or your whole account, at any time.
Signing in
A grown-up signs in with Apple, Google, or an email and password. From Apple or Google, Tokaboo receives only your email address (Apple can give a private relay address instead), and uses it only to sign you in and to send account emails, such as confirming your address or choosing a new password. It's never used for advertising or shared.
Where it's stored
Account data is stored in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) by our database provider, Supabase. Account emails are sent by Resend from its European region (Ireland).

This is a summary. Our full privacy policy will be published here before Tokaboo is on the App Store.
